Join the National Music Centre (NMC) and JazzYYC for a special presentation of Huu Bac Quintet and Ginger Beef on Saturday, April 27.

About Ginger Beef:

Ginger Beef is the collaboration of the husband and wife team of award-winning flutist Jiajia Li and veteran producer/multi-instrumentalist Warren Tse (AKA MSG). The result: a gleaming pop artifact which balances dazzling instrumental performances and catchy melodies with deep grooves.

About Huu Bac Quintet:

From Montreal and formed in 2013, the Huu Bac Quintet weaves Vietnamese and Chinese heritage and culture with jazz through instruments as unique as the dan bau (vietnamese monochord), erhu (chinese fiddle), quena (andean flute), and as ubiquitous as the jazz guitar.
