Head in the Clouds is a curated underground DJ night hosted on the Studio Bell Skybridge — suspended above Calgary's skyline.
Presented by Kaminéh and the National Music Centre, the night brings together an exclusive gathering of music lovers for an evening of live DJ sets rooted in South Asian sound with live instrumentation. Featuring Asad Khan, Raaginder, Bobby Kang, and Kokaheena, this is a one-of-a-kind experience you won't find anywhere else.
This is Kaminéh's first event in Calgary. With limited tickets and an unforgettable atmosphere, it's not one to miss.
Kaminéh is a DJ collective with members based in Calgary, Vancouver, and the UK, built around pushing South Asian music and culture forward through intentional, curated live experiences.
The night features Mastané — the collaborative project of Asad Khan and Raaginder. Asad is a Pakistani-Canadian producer, musician and DJ with over 1.2 million monthly Spotify listeners, whose sound bridges Sufi tradition and contemporary electronic music. His recent single Piya has been charting internationally, crossing borders and resonating with audiences far beyond the South Asian diaspora.
Raaginder is a Bay Area-born violinist and composer of Punjabi descent, trained in Indian classical music, with credits including the Ms. Marvel score, performances at the White House and the Kennedy Center, and collaborations with Diljit Dosanjh, Sidhu Moosewala and Karan Aujla.
Bobby Kang is a UK-based producer and DJ at the forefront of South Asian music's global moment — co-producing "Bass Dhol" alongside Skrillex and Ahadadream for Island Records, and the primary producer behind Raf Saperra's catalogue.
Kokaheena is a Calgary-based DJ and co-founder of Kaminéh whose sets move fluidly across bass, rhythm and soul without borders. She has played BC Place for the Vancouver Whitecaps Vaisakhi Night, the JUNOs Let's Hear It Live platform, and Raf Saperra afterparty sets across the country.
