Stampede-goers invited to cap off their Stampede celebrations with a visit to Studio Bell
(Calgary, AB — July 3, 2025) The National Music Centre (NMC) is welcoming Stampede-goers to make Studio Bell part of their final day of Stampede festivities. Admission will be free all day on Sunday, July 13.
This special day will give guests a chance to explore Canada's country music legacy and experience the power of music with added activities offered throughout the day.
This year’s Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame (CCMHF) exhibition features the 2024 inductees, including treasured Alberta singer-songwriter k.d. lang, and influential Ontario-born industry leader Gilles Godard. Visitors can also revisit the legacies of past honourees Terri Clark, Paul Brandt, Anne Murray, Hank Snow, Michelle Wright, Ian Tyson, and many more. NMC is the proud custodian of more than 2,000 artifacts in the CCMHF—from stage outfits to archival photographs—preserving the history of Canada’s most celebrated country artists. New to the exhibit this year is an interactive experience that invites guests to sit down and play along with a Hall of Famer, making for a truly hands-on visit.
Additional programming on July 13 includes demonstrations on the historic Kimball Theatre Organ, and live piano performances on the famed Steinway “Rhapsody in Blue” piano, made to commemorate pianist and composer George Gershwin’s centennial. Guests can also participate in interactive music therapy sessions led by renowned Music Therapist Jennifer Buchanan of JB Music Therapy. For those who want to dive deeper into NMC’s collection, free Greatest Hits tours will be offered, allowing music fans to get up close with iconic instruments and artifacts.
"We hope everyone adds Studio Bell to their Stampede itinerary," said Andrew Mosker, President and CEO of NMC. "July 13 is the perfect opportunity to experience Canada’s country music story—free of charge. It’s a must-see destination with so much to discover, and we’re just a short walk from Stampede Park."
