Join us for a special edition of Forever Young: Seniors' Wednesdays at Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre, featuring interactive experiences for all ages that spark memories, inspire creativity, and create connections across generations.
DandoDance comes to Studio Bell, presented by National Music Centre and Jubilee Arts. Join instructors David and Olya Joseph for a “come-as-you-are” Latin dance experience. People of all ages and skill levels are welcome to participate as David and Olya instruct the group in a variety of Latin dance styles. No equipment, previous experience, or partner required! Just bring yourself and a desire to move, DandoDance will take care of the rest!
David and Olya Joseph are the directors of DandoDance and have been teaching and connecting with thousands of kids in schools of Calgary and surrounding area for the last 20 years. Through dance they empower people to step out of their comfort zone and explore life with fun, curiosity, and a sense of adventure.
They are also performers, and are known for elegant storytelling through dance, and a fusion of music styles in a variety of genres including Ballroom / Latin / Salsa / Argentine Tango and even Country; this has made them a most sought after show couple in Calgary, capable of multi-genre performances.
Under their belt are performances in Las Vegas (Tropicana Hotel), several years as featured professionals at “Celebrity Dance Off” Red Deer, and 14 years lead dance act at Banff Springs Hotel New Years Eve International Gala.
Forever Young celebrates lifelong connections to music, offering free Studio Bell admission for music lovers aged 65 and up every Wednesday. This engaging program invites seniors and their families to explore Canada’s musical heritage across five floors of exhibitions, bringing to life the stories — and soundtrack — of their generation through rare memorabilia and hands-on activities. Part of the National Music Centre’s commitment to using music as a tool for wellbeing, Forever Young creates welcoming spaces for seniors to gather and connect with music, community, and each other. Monthly drop-in programs will feature a variety of interactive experiences for all ages that spark memories, inspire creativity, and create connections across generations.
Studio Bell admission is free for seniors every Wednesday thanks to the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program.
