Kathak accompanied by the live sounds of Hindustani classical music at Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre, for Asian Heritage Month.
Kick off your Asian Heritage Month 2026 with an incredible showcase of Indian classical music and dance. TARANG is an evening of Hindustani music and Kathak, all performed live at Canada's home for music.
Featuring sarangi maestro, Pankaj Mishra, and tabla expert and prized disciple of the legendary Pt. Kishan Maharaj, Vineet Vyas, the evening will begin with a presentation of traditional ragas with an instrument that can mimic the sweetest gayaki. Following the music, see a Kathak showcase by Bageshree Vaze, trained under the legend Pt. Birju Maharaj, who will grace the stage accompanied by live music and vocals from Kavita Mishra.
This event is FREE for Raga Mala Members, but all attendees require a ticket. If you're a member, please register for your free ticket through Eventbrite.
