About The Steadies
The Steadies aren't invited to the party — they ARE the party. A high-energy groove-based band who mixes pop-rock with world-beat, funk and reggae, creating a sound they’ve dubbed, ‘island-rock’. Frontman Earl Pereira (formerly of Wide Mouth Mason) is a three-time JUNO Award nominee. Highlights for The Steadies include features on Canadian Musician Magazine, TMZ, CBC, touring Asia, Europe while sharing the stage with legendary artists like Ziggy Marley, The Wailers, and The Roots. The Saskatoon group was recently signed by Bristol Records (Vancouver) / CMX (Nashville) with worldwide distribution by Sony The Orchard. The band performed over 50 shows in 2021 including a sold-out headlining performance at the Sask Jazzfest Mainstage voted "Best Concert of the Year" by Planet S Magazine. The Steadies was also nominated for "Band of the Year" by Sask Music and will be releasing their 4th studio album in summer2022 along with a 25-date tour.
About Troy Kokol
Troy Kokol is an award-winning Canadian singer, producer, animator, video director, and songwriter with over 250 cuts to his name in a variety of music genres, TV, and film. Troy is a recipient of the SOCAN Award for Country Music and a 2-time CCMA Songwriter of the Year nominee. As a songwriter, Kokol has had cuts with many artists, including Australia's Hayley Jensen (w/ the #2 radio hit "Breakin Hearts"), Warner Music's Brett Kissel, Jerry Sereda, Jake Mathews, Don Amero, and Shane Yellowbird, whose single "Pick Up Truck" (written w/ Joni Delaurier) was listed #6 all-time on Canadian country radio by Billboard.
Sundays in C-Square runs every Sunday between 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm from August 7-28 at the corner of 7 Avenue and 4 Street SE in East Village.
After taking in a free concert, wander over to Studio Bell to take advantage of pay-what-you-can admission. The NMC Gift Shop & Café will also be open, offering grab-and-go snacks and drinks. Eat in or take your food out for a picnic on St. Patrick's Island.
