Ahead of International Tap Dance Day, experience a day of tap dance, body percussion, and movement by Lawson Percussive Dance Arts Company. Presented by Scotiabank Backbeat in partnership with NMC, it's an afternoon of pop-up performances that will have you snapping your fingers while tapping into the heartbeat of our shared human experience.
The company will activate numerous museum exhibits with tap battles, rhythmic soundscapes, body music, staircase dances, and choreographic compositions, celebrating Canadian icons Oscar Peterson, kd lang, Diana Krall, and music from around the globe.
