About K-Riz:
Having found his stride at the intersection of hip-hop and R&B, K-Riz packs his syllables and vocals with power. The Canadian dynamo is a rare, multifaceted artist who can rap and sing with equal aplomb, earning admiration from audiences and critics alike for his emotional vulnerability and genre-spanning versatility. He’s received praise from outlets including Complex Canada, Exclaim, and CBC Music and, in 2022, he landed a Western Canadian Music Award nomination for Best Rap & Hip Hop Artist. His third full-length album, One Way Ticket, is out now via Birthday Cake Records.
About Jam Club:
Jam Club has been an integral part of National Music Centre’s programming for over a decade. Born out of the earlier Guitar Club program that was aimed specifically towards “at risk” youth, today Jam Club emphasizes creating space and opportunity for any and all teens in the community. This weekly free after-school drop-in program brings teens and volunteers together in support of music learning and the acquisition of important life skills such as teamwork, collaboration, intuition, and timing. Learn more about Jam Club at studiobell.ca/jam-club.
NMC Jam Club is presented by CJAY-92’s Jesse & JD with support from the Richardson Foundation and Sticks & Strings.
