Join us at Studio Bell for the annual wrap up of National Music Centre's after-school program, Jam Club!
Jam Club had a slow start this year due to the ever-changing public health situation. But in the end, we were thrilled to bring back one of our most cherished programs, which brings teens and volunteers together to learn new skills and explore their creative potential.
This event provides this year's cohort with the opportunity to perform in front of a supportive audience and showcase their hard work before we break for the summer!
About Jam Club
Jam Club has been an integral part of National Music Centre’s programming for over a decade. Born out of the earlier Guitar Club program that was aimed specifically towards “at risk” youth, today Jam Club emphasizes creating space and opportunity for any and all teens in the community. This weekly free after-school drop-in program brings teens and volunteers together in support of music learning and the acquisition of important life skills such as teamwork, collaboration, intuition, and timing. Scotiabank Backbeat provides regular weekend activations for families, children, and general visitors of all ages, including pop-up music performances, hands-on activities, presentations from community partners, and more.
