Eldersong presented by Music Mile, NMC, and Age-Friendly Calgary

The first week of June is Seniors’ Week in Calgary. The first week of June is Seniors’ Week in Calgary. Music Mile and National Music Centre in partnership with Age-Friendly Calgary are presenting Eldersong, featuring seven senior Calgary artists in an exciting new Seniors’ Week broadcast on Facebook Live on June 8 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm MST.

Artists performing include Barry Luft, music inspirer and philosopher; Doc Mehl, cowboy poet and songwriter; Eilish Hiebert, a true daughter of the folk music and Irish Celtic music traditions; and Edna Einsiedel, who found the ukulele or rather it may have found her.

Each artist will compile a 10-minute video, and charismatic host Bob Chartier (with editing by Rob Skeet of Skeeter Media in Inglewood) will weave the stories and music together into a 90-minute show. The Facebook Live stream will be available at NMC and Music Mile's Facebook pages.
