Alt-rock band ROOKS with opener Devin Cooper perform as part of the National Music Centre's hybrid live music and virtual concert series, Friday Night at the King Eddy, sponsored by Bell.

ROOKS is a three-piece rock band from Calgary. The band features Jay Bowcott on guitar and vocals, Darryl Swart on drums and Brent Rossall on bass. Their sound is unapologetic guitar rock, drawing influences from bands like Thin Lizzy, the Rolling Stones, and the Black Keys.

Devin Cooper is a Canadian Southern rock and country artist, heavily influenced by ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Johnny Cash. With his rock n’ roll attitude and thoughtful songwriting, Devin Cooper is pushing the boundaries of the country music genre.
